So if you have gandered at my photos on my website or blog before…you have probably seen these two families. I have had the giant honor of getting to document a smidgen of their lives over the last few years. The two gals in the photo are cousins and had a fun idea of doing a session together! The sweet redheaded little one is shy and not a fan of my camera, she has been known to burst out into tears when I hold it up to take a photo of her, but her older second cousin is not shy with the camera and was a big help in showing her it was okay and kinda fun to have your photo taken. It was really sweet and a ton of fun to be with such amazing families on a beautiful morning.
I’m so stoked about winter sessions this season! I have always shied away from encouraging outdoor winter sessions because not everyone loves the bundled up coats and rosey noses look, but after this photo session it is my new favorite thing. Bring on the snow sessions! We live in the great NORTH, the TUNDRA, so why wouldn’t we want to capture a smidgen of our lives in all its snowy wonder and glory. I mean come on….look at this incredible family! I owe a big old “thank you” to them for getting me pumped about winter and snow! (I say that typing from my parents house in Florida ;) .
This family is so fun! They are the kindest people with great senses of humor and do not make you feel like a total dork when you are totally in the photo zone and back up real hard into a tree while taking photos. They have so much love for their sweet boy and know just all the ways to make him smile. And Holy Guacamole people….his smile! just makes you gooey and happy! They stepped into the winter wonderland and let their love for each other warm them up for 20ish minutes (I mean it is Minnesota…you can’t hang out just taking photos in that kinda cold for too long. It can go from fun to lets wrap this up real quick :)
Needless to say this sweet family kicked off my enthusiasm for holiday cheer and winter festivities in a big way!
