Engagement Session

Okay Cat Power is one of my favorites....as music goes. And every time it's hot I just want to sit out on the porch, wearing jean shorts and a tank top with an iced tea next to me and cigarette hanging out of my hand listening to Cat Power.  Ok..before you judge me I don't even smoke. I have horrible asthma and any kinda smoke makes me one wheezy gasping for air mess. The point of this is...it's hot out and all I want to do is listen to Cat Power.  and one of her songs, that's probably one of her most popular is SEA OF LOVE.

Boom! I'm getting to my point! these two are a SEA OF LOVE! If you don't know the song...here are some of the lyrics that have me thinking of these two love birds.

Come with me
My love
To the sea
The sea of love

I wanna tell you
How much
I love you

They may not be the couple that is gushing over each other in public, but they are the couple that every action they have is telling the other how much they love each other. Inviting each other into their sea of love. COME ON! that was gooood.. right?!

The way they laugh with each other and have so much respect for one another, It's beautiful. They have taken their super independent busy lives and have intertwined them together with such ease.  I am so thankful to have gotten to document this sweet time in their lives where they get to invite friends and family into their Sea of Love and celebrate. Only a couple months away and we can dance our hearts out at the wedding because these two are what dreams are made of!

Kaleb

If you have been following along the last blog posts you have probably noticed Kaleb pop up in some of the photos with his sisters. Kaleb is the oldest of my sister's family. He cracks me up because he reminds me of the butler from the movie Mr. Deeds  ("Oh, You just kinda snuck up on me there."   "I am very very sneaky, sir." ) Sorry, I love quoting Adam Sandler movies.  But that is how Kaleb is...he just pops up where you are and joins in the fun. He is extremely smart and a great teacher. When we were last at the beach he gave me some boogie board pointers that upped my very low skill level. He has a contagious excitement about him. He had me wanting to read this whole book series just by the way he talked about it. He is compassionate, a collector, an innovator, joyful and kind.
