Raise your hand if you love to travel but are the worst at recovering after you return home. I have both hands up! I went on a trip to Pender Island, British Colombia to celebrate one of my sisters turning the big 40! I got back last week....and still have travel hangover. I'm ready to get back into the rhythm of life, catch that beat so I can get my groove back. But let's be honest..I haven't gotten back into a rhythm since we moved and that was back in the beginning of February. It's kinda like trying to jump into your turn of Double Dutch. Which, let's be honest I was horrible at, the pressure was just too much.
So, I sit here coffee in hand, travel hangover in full swing, reminiscing of taking naps on a porch with the sun blazing down, playing made up games with my niece and nephews, looking for whales, being in the mountains, hiking, drinking a beer with my sisters, having conversations about my cat possibly wanting to kill me with my brother-in-law, and soaking up all the love from my parents.
I will warn you... I am proud Aunt and a bit obsessed with my nieces and nephews so there are lots of photos of them. You have been warned.
Thanks for looking!! I hope you have lots of travel planned and you do not suffer from travel hangover. xoxo
Here is where being the Aunt responsible for watching this little guy should have stopped him from going into the water to get the driftwood so that he would not have wet bog boots for the rest of the day. Instead, I kept taking pictures.
I asked my niece if I could take a picture of her looking for whales in the binoculars. I took this picture. She looked and said "No, you should stand in front of me and take the picture." I am paraphrasing but it was something like that. So, I did and that is the second picture.
This picture. I have to say she has an "eye" for photography and knows what she wants!
